Stonewall Jackson

On May 10, 1863, Confederate army General Thomas J. Jackson died from pneumonia eight days after being accidentally shot by his own troops during the Civil War. T.J. Jackson got the nickname "stonewall" at the First Battle of Bull Run when he stood firm as the south's outnumbered forces fell back.
