Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti Executed

Saturday August 23, 2008
On August 23, 1927, Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti were put to death by the electric chair. A jury had found them guilty of murder in July, 1921. It was widely suspected even then that they were unjustly convicted because of their nationality and political views.
