The Most Decisive Battle of the Northern Virginia Campaign...

On August 30, 1862, Stonewall Jackson led the Confederates to victory at the Second Battle of Bull Run. He had ordered an attack on the Federal position starting on August 28th. Things began to look grim for both sides when Lieutenant General James Longstreet arrived to support Jackson's position. He then led his men on a counterattack against the Union forces.
