Bill Signed to Allow Annexation of Texas

On March 1, 1845, President John Tyler authorized the annexation of Texas. Texas had recently won independence from Mexico in 1836.

GO LONGHORNS!! yes, i am a texan. who knew? well fellow texans did you know that san antonio was first colonized by germans!? yah, wow right.! i lived here all my life and sat in front of the old alamo mission church.(that is what it really is.) i never knew it was known as a german town. all the mexicans,black africans,and white colonist who live here now,you never would have thought right. me neither. a little chilli for thought.
