Heading/Title
A stunning telling of one of the most important and bloodiest battles of the American Civil War. Although, it is historical fiction, the depiction of the battle itself is realistic. This novel will give you a better understanding of the battle itself and its importance. Michael Shaara captivates with his ability to bring the important figures of the battle to life. Lee, Longstreet, and Chamberlain are so superbly done that you feel the pains and triumphs of each character. This is the kind of book that will inspire you to read the biographies of these great men. The mark of a great book is one that you hate to see end and then inspires you to read more about the subject. |
