1763 - Pontiac's rebellion began.

1915 - The Lusitania was sunk by a German U-boat. This would be a major reason why many Americans wanted to enter World War I.

1945 - The Nazi's surrendered ending Germany's part in World War II.

1992 - The 27th amendment was ratified.
