The 27th amendment was an amendment that does not allow a sitting congress to immediately institute a pay raise for themselves. It was originally proposed with the Bill of Rights but was not ratified until May 7, 1992.

Text of the 27th Amendment

No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of representatives shall have intervened.
